„Prudence“ depicts an abstract organism, branched bearing vigilant eyes as it’s fruits. An alarm system in perpetual search for external threats, embodying a state of constant suspicion, anxiety, and hyper-alertness.
In this relentless outward focus, the organism overlooks black lianas, born from within, silently entwine its structure. The dark parasite tendrils, gradually suffocating and cutting off the air of the very system they inhabit.
The piece explores a paradox self-protection of an unhealthy organism: a body or mind so consumed with defending itself against perceived external dangers that it fails to recognize the slow, internal forces of destruction. In this tension between vigilance and blindness lies the fragility of existence—an organism desperate to survive, yet undermined by its own fear.
